Board Governance The Board of Directors is guided by Open Space Technology principles. In Practice:
- Passion determines involvement
- Continually seek the simplest way to accomplish our tasks
You are welcome to join board meetings by sending an email to info@osius.org or contacting any board member above and we can coordinate the best time for you to participate. If you are interested in joining the board this is the best way to start.
Our Agreements:
- Focus on serving our purpose
- Maintain the financial health of OSI (US)
- Meet monthly for approximately one-hour teleconference meetings
- Record our monthly discussions and actions
- Respond to member contacts based upon agreements reached on board calls or e-mail exchanges
- Assist in developing membership (including our own)
- Perform staff functions (since we have no staff)
- Reach decisions among whomever comes to our meetings
- Welcome anyone offering to join us in the work of this Board
Our Activity
Legal Structure
The Open Space Institute(US) holds space for Open Space. Open Space Institute(US) serves by:
- Providing access to resources on Open Space,
- Connecting individuals and groups to inform, inspire, mentor, and sustain each other in opening and holding space, AND
- Being an inclusive learning community.
OSI-USA Board Member History Membership generally changes following the Open Space on Open Space (OSonOS), as that is where the annual member meeting takes place. The cities listed are the sites of OSonOS that year.
